About Me

12-08-09--Judi LevitaI have bought pull-ups for my child and adult diapers for my uncle on the same day.

A corporate communicator by trade, I am a former spokesperson for both the World Wildlife Fund and a major Canadian bank. Before going corporate, I was a literary publicist working with the likes of Margaret Atwood, John Irving, Michael Ondaatje, and Robert Munsch, among others.   Since 2008, I have been the poster child for Canada’s current sandwich generation.

I am the proud single mother of a seven-year-old son who I adopted as an infant when I was 44. I also have an 81-year-old mother who has Alzheimer’s and a litany of other health issues relating to aging.  In addition to my mother, I was responsible for overseeing the care of a favorite uncle who had Lewy Body Dementia. He died at the age of 95 in December of 2012.

Having very recently rejoined the world of suits and cubicles and suits in cubicles, I am especially grateful for having been able to give my loved ones the time and devotion they so deserve.

Thanks for stopping by my blog. Glad to have found yours and look forward to reading it. I bought diapers for my Mom the other day. My kids are teens but I am sandwiched in a very similar way.

Lifeonwry: It sounds like we have much in common. BTW, I love the title of your blog.
